Healthy Eating for Seniors is a new handbook on nutrition for older adults. It has been developed to be an interesting, informative and useful resource for seniors age 65 and over from across British Columbia and Canada.

Build strength, endurance, agility and balance using the wellness circuit at an ActNow BC Seniors Community Park in your area. Each piece of equipment is easy to use, and is designed to increase your ability to perform day-to-day activities. The equipment is suitable for those aged 13 years and older.

Celebrate BC Seniors Week By Getting Active
ActNow BC, the BC Senior Secretariat and BCRPA are offering free fitness circuits at a number of BCs Seniors Parks during Seniors’ Week (June 5-11).  Participating communities include: Oak Bay, Nanaimo, Prince George, Richmond, Terrace, Vancouver, Courtenay, North Cowichan, Chemanius, Kelowna, Kamloops and Burnaby.
Move for life DVD
At any age, staying strong and flexible helps you do the things you enjoy; and perform day-to-day activities with great ease. The Move for Life DVD shows you ways to keep your body strong and healthy by adding more physical activity to your daily routine.

Seniors Vignettes

Older adults in B.C. learn how to make every move a good move in this special series of video vignettes, which were created through a partnership between the the Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport, Knowledge Network and BC Dairy Foundation. The ActNow BC Healthy Eating and Physical Activity video vignettes promote healthy lifestyle tips for older adults in B.C. and are supported by the Healthy Eating for Seniors handbook, which is available free.
