ActNow BC Measuring our Success: Progress Report II (May, 2010)
This is the second progress report since the “Measuring Our Success: Baseline Report (November 2006)” and the “Measuring Our Success Progress Report – 1 (January 2008)”. This report supports government’s commitment to monitor and report regularly on the progress B.C. is making toward achieving its targets for physical activity, healthy eating, healthy choices in pregnancy and living tobacco free. Among the report highlights:

“B.C. has the lowest self-reported overweight and obesity rates in Canada.”

“British Columbians are the most active compared to other provinces.”

“The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized ActNow BC as a promising best practice approach in health promotion and chronic disease prevention that other countries could learn from.”

ActNow BC Measuring our Success: Progress Report I (January, 2008)
A progress report on ActNow BC’s targets since the “Measuring Our Success Baseline Document” was produced in November 2006. The progress report explores variations in key health-related behaviours that exist throughout the province; provides information on the outputs for a sampling of ActNow BC initiatives; and examines the current and projected target rates for physical activity, healthy eating, tobacco use and obesity.

ActNow BC Measuring our Success: Baseline Document (November 2006)
The Province’s starting point for British Columbians’ journey to simple, easy ways to better health. This rigorous analysis of British Columbians provides a baseline of our province’s current health challenges and provides a better understanding of regional variations of particular risks.
